Exness Demo Account
A free practice account with virtual funds on the same platforms and the same instruments — most useful when it is run at the hours the live account will be traded.
Open Exness Account →An Exness demo account is a free practice account funded with virtual money. It lets you trade real market prices on MT4, MT5, the Terminal or the app without risking your own money — ideal for learning the platform and testing a strategy before you go live.
What a demo is genuinely good for
A demo is most useful when it is run at the hours the live account will actually be traded — which, on a UTC+3 clock, are not the hours most people are free.
- Test MT4, MT5 and the Exness Terminal without risking real money.
- Practise placing orders, setting stop-losses and managing trades.
- Try and refine your strategies before going live.
- Get comfortable with leverage and margin in a safe environment.
- Practise on every live account type — Standard, Standard Cent, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero.
- Reset the virtual balance any time; no KYC is needed to open a demo.
Practise at the hours you will actually trade
The busiest stretch of the currency day — when London and New York are both open — falls in the late afternoon and early evening on a clock three hours ahead of UTC. Spreads are typically at their tightest and movement at its fastest in that window. A demo used only at lunchtime practises the quiet hours instead: the same instruments behave more slowly, fills look calmer than they will be, and the habits formed there do not transfer.
Because local clocks here never change while London's and New York's do, that busy window slides by an hour twice a year. Practising across a few different times of day, rather than always the same one, shows how much of a result came from the strategy and how much from the hour it was tested in.
What a demo cannot rehearse
Virtual funds remove the one variable that matters most: how it feels to be wrong with real money. A demo is the right place to learn order types, position sizing and the platform's mechanics, and the wrong place to conclude that a strategy is profitable. Moving to a live account at the smallest size that still feels real is usually more informative than another month of virtual trading.
Moving from virtual funds to real ones
The step that teaches the most is the smallest one: a live account funded with an amount whose loss would be an annoyance rather than a problem, traded at the same position size the demo used. Everything mechanical transfers unchanged — the platform, the order types, the instruments. What does not transfer is the reaction to an open loss, and that is the part no amount of virtual trading rehearses.
Standard and Standard Cent accounts can be opened without a minimum initial deposit, so the size of that first step is a decision rather than a threshold.
Minimum deposit applicable; may vary based on payment method or geographic location.

Disappearing Demo Accounts. the fact that a Demo account gets deleted because you haven’t been on it in a week or less is just weird, I’ve lost about 5 accounts in total I’ve been practicing on, such a shame I actually liked the UI & everything else
